A few days ago Eatonton Police Department began running Eagle*Print in place of their former Live Scan software, which makes the PD our newest customer. The swap utilized all of the hardware from the prior system, such as the cabinet and palm scanner, and provided the agency with several new capabilities. The department immediately started submitting fingerprint records to the Georgia AFIS through our Internet Protocol Solution, which is an inexpensive alternative to the dedicated VPN connection they were using before. Eatonton PD also gained the ability to automatically enter a subject’s demographic data using a driver’s license barcode scanner we recently integrated into Eagle*Print, and they will employ our Live Scan mugshot camera solution as well upon its completion expected in the third quarter of 2014.

Eagle*Advantage RMS/JMS 4.3.3.1 Officially Released
Our Eagle development team continually works to improve what’s already a robust and reliable solution. To that end we’ve released the latest version of Eagle*Advantage RMS/JMS, which is the foundation of our product line. Version 4.3.3.1 contains several new enhancements to the software, including a daily activity log for tracking common agency tasks. However, the main features we added in this release are report approval queues for supervisors and commanding officers and the messaging module that powers the process.
Message Center is a system-wide notification tool that provides users with the ability to view and manage their own messages upon login. It automatically generates notification messages and delivers them to individual users based on event triggers in the system. For example, notifications may be triggered when a report is ready for a supervisor’s approval, or when a reporting officer needs to make changes to a report. Individuals can also use Message Center to send intra-office memos to other Eagle users or to message groups created by the system administrator. We’re upbeat about the new module; we think customers will find it to be very useful for helping to handle their work flows.
Richmond Hill Police Department, Ga., Picks Integrated Law Enforcement Applications from EAS
EAS is honored to announce that after a thorough review of software vendors and products, Richmond Hill Police Department picked a combination of solutions from us. We recently replaced their existing Live Scan software and connected the system to our state IPS server. The agency has now gone live with our Records Management System and in-car Mobile solution as well. The integrated nature of the products and our willingness to add requested features were key factors in their decision. Before the installation began, we worked closely with Richmond Hill to spec out and develop several enhancements to the RMS, including many items on their must-have list and some that were already in our engineering pipeline.
Later in the year we’ll be adding even more of the agency’s requested features to the software, and we’ll be implementing Eagle*NET at the PD which will enable their officers to seamlessly exchange reports, warrants, and other vital information with Bryan County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies. We’ll also be incorporating ez911 Computer Aided Dispatch functionality into Eagle*Mobile. This upcoming module will allow Richmond Hill PD to take advantage of silent dispatch and other capabilities of our partner’s ezCAD system which is in use at Bryan County E911 – all from a single mobile application.
Driver’s License Barcode Scanners Now Available for Eagle*Print and Eagle*Mobile
We’re thrilled to announce that our development team has completed the initial integration of driver’s license scanners into both Eagle*Print and Eagle*Mobile. For Eagle*Print we offer a wand-style scanner and for Eagle*Mobile we offer a compact puck-style scanner more suitable for use in a vehicle. Both scanners read the data stored in the 2D barcodes found on most modern driver’s licenses. With the press of a button an operator can automatically input much of a subject’s identifying information into the appropriate fields in the software. This can save time and eliminate errors in the fingerprinting, reporting, and ticketing processes. For more information or if you would like to order a driver’s license scanner for your Eagle*Print Live Scan or updated version of Eagle*Mobile, please contact our Sales Manager or Support Team.
