Eatonton Police Department, Ga., Swaps Live Scan Software for Eagle*Print

A few days ago Eatonton Police Department began running Eagle*Print in place of their former Live Scan software, which makes the PD our newest customer. The swap utilized all of the hardware from the prior system, such as the cabinet and palm scanner, and provided the agency with several new capabilities. The department immediately started submitting fingerprint records to Georgia AFIS through our Internet Protocol Solution, which is an inexpensive alternative to the dedicated VPN connection they were using before. Eatonton PD also gained the ability to automatically enter a subject’s demographic data using a driver’s license barcode scanner we recently integrated into Eagle*Print, and they will employ our Live Scan mugshot camera solution as well upon its completion expected in the third quarter of 2014.
