Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Ga., Goes Live with Full RMS/JMS Suite

We’re excited to welcome another new customer to the Eagle*Advantage fold this month! Hancock County Sheriff’s Office has had our Live Scan product for many years, and now the agency has gone live with our Eagle*Advantage RMS/JMS as well. The full software suite includes all standard records and jail management modules, an interface to their Live Scan, plus optional features such as the Sex Offender and Inmate Information websites. In addition, the sheriff’s office received a new integrated IP network camera for mugshots, and we will be converting and importing the Arrest Booking and Incident Reporting data from their older software into Eagle.

Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, Ga., Buys 10-Print Cabinet System from EAS, Inc.

This week Savannah-Chatham Public School System (SCCPSS) became our newest Live Scan customer. The school system elected to go with a cabinet-based 10-print solution. The cabinet was the first ruggedized unit we’ve installed that was specifically designed to support the cost-effective Green Bit scanner line. The SCCPSS Campus Police department will use the new fingerprinting system for a variety of purposes such as performing identity verification and criminal history checks on teachers and other school system employees throughout Chatham County.

Sale City, Ga., Begins Using Eagle*Advantage RMS at Police Department

Sale City Police Department is a small municipal agency staffed mainly by Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office employees. EAS tailored a small-scale solution for the PD to fit their records management needs. We upgraded existing office computers to professional versions of the Windows operating system and then installed an inexpensive server option to house the Records Management System database. Since the officers were already well versed in operation of the Eagle software, the transition to the new system at the PD was smooth and easy.

Eagle Advantage Solutions, Inc., Develops Live Scan Cabinet Solution for Green Bit Scanners

EAS worked with a leading metals fabricator to design, test, and produce a cabinet solution to house fingerprint scanners made by Green Bit Biometric Systems. Using an interchangeable adapter bracket, the rugged steel cabinet can hold the DactyScan 84c 10-print scanner or the MultiScan 527 palm scanner, which are two of the most prominent models manufactured by Green Bit. Perfect for jail or heavy-use environments, the cabinet also features an adjustable computer shelf, lockable access doors, swivel casters and leveling feet, integrated foot pedals, a pull-out keyboard tray, a monitor arm with a VESA-compliant tilt & swivel mount, and an optional mugshot camera mounting kit. The new cabinet solution provides yet another option for installing Live Scan equipment and should prove to be a popular addition to our product line.

Thomas County Sheriff’s Office, Ga., Adds Eagle*Mobile

Already a valued Eagle*Advantage RMS/JMS customer, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office has added our Eagle*Mobile product to their patrol vehicles. With the associated aircard, printer, driver’s license scanner, and GPS receiver, officers can conveniently run NCIC searches, create and print e-tickets, and see the exact location of their police car and others on the integrated maps. Mobile also connects to the RMS/JMS database at the Sheriff’s Office, allowing officers to enter accident reports, incident reports, and field interviews while still out on patrol.

Grady County Probate Court, Ga., Gets Eagle*Print for Applicant Fingerprinting

The Grady County Probate Court is the latest customer to get Eagle*Print to fulfill their fingerprinting needs.  We just installed a desktop system at the court complete with a USB foot pedal for easy hands-free operation and a driver’s license scanner for speedy data entry.  Using our solution, the probate court can capture and securely submit fingerprints themselves for applicant purposes, such as background checks for gun permits, rather than outsourcing the process or sending county residents back and forth to busy law enforcement agencies in town.

Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Ga., Adopts Eagle*Advantage and Eagle*Print for New Jail

Already a Live Scan customer, we’re happy to disclose that Randolph County Sheriff’s Office has adopted the Eagle*Advantage RMS/JMS suite for use in their brand new jail facility.  The comprehensive and complementary records and jail management packages will provide the sheriff’s office with numerous advantages over their legacy software, and our data conversion service will preserve their old incident reports for use in the new system.  In conjunction with the installation of Eagle*Advantage and the opening of the new jail, we also retrofitted the agency’s Live Scan to run our Eagle*Print capture application and use a current-generation fingerprint scanner.

Eatonton Police Department, Ga., Swaps Live Scan Software for Eagle*Print

A few days ago Eatonton Police Department began running Eagle*Print in place of their former Live Scan software, which makes the PD our newest customer.  The swap utilized all of the hardware from the prior system, such as the cabinet and palm scanner, and provided the agency with several new capabilities.  The department immediately started submitting fingerprint records to the Georgia AFIS through our Internet Protocol Solution, which is an inexpensive alternative to the dedicated VPN connection they were using before.  Eatonton PD also gained the ability to automatically enter a subject’s demographic data using a driver’s license barcode scanner we recently integrated into Eagle*Print, and they will employ our Live Scan mugshot camera solution as well upon its completion expected in the third quarter of 2014.

Eagle*Advantage RMS/JMS 4.3.3.1 Officially Released

Our Eagle development team continually works to improve what’s already a robust and reliable solution.  To that end we’ve released the latest version of Eagle*Advantage RMS/JMS, which is the foundation of our product line.  Version 4.3.3.1 contains several new enhancements to the software, including a daily activity log for tracking common agency tasks.  However, the main features we added in this release are report approval queues for supervisors and commanding officers and the messaging module that powers the process.

Message Center is a system-wide notification tool that provides users with the ability to view and manage their own messages upon login.  It automatically generates notification messages and delivers them to individual users based on event triggers in the system.  For example, notifications may be triggered when a report is ready for a supervisor’s approval, or when a reporting officer needs to make changes to a report.  Individuals can also use Message Center to send intra-office memos to other Eagle users or to message groups created by the system administrator.  We’re upbeat about the new module; we think customers will find it to be very useful for helping to handle their work flows.

Richmond Hill Police Department, Ga., Picks Integrated Law Enforcement Applications from EAS

EAS is honored to announce that after a thorough review of software vendors and products, Richmond Hill Police Department picked a combination of solutions from us.  We recently replaced their existing Live Scan software and connected the system to our state IPS server.  The agency has now gone live with our Records Management System and in-car Mobile solution as well.  The integrated nature of the products and our willingness to add requested features were key factors in their decision.  Before the installation began, we worked closely with Richmond Hill to spec out and develop several enhancements to the RMS, including many items on their must-have list and some that were already in our engineering pipeline.

Later in the year we’ll be adding even more of the agency’s requested features to the software, and we’ll be implementing Eagle*NET at the PD which will enable their officers to seamlessly exchange reports, warrants, and other vital information with Bryan County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies.  We’ll also be incorporating ez911 Computer Aided Dispatch functionality into Eagle*Mobile.  This upcoming module will allow Richmond Hill PD to take advantage of silent dispatch and other capabilities of our partner’s ezCAD system which is in use at Bryan County E911 – all from a single mobile application.
